Okay, I am letting you all in on a little secret. Whenever I write something, I always, always have actors in mind when creating the dialogue and structuring the characters. Most often, however, I keep them a secret.
However, I have gotten such positive feedback on HOUSE OF THEBES' concept and direction, I just feel compelled to put out my Dream Cast into the Universe lol. Of course, chances are that none of the actors and actresses listed will be interested in this crazy twisted version of the Classic Greek Mythos, but I wanted to put it out there just for fun anyway.
A Little About House Of Thebes.
House of Thebes first season centers on two Theban myths, that of Oedipus and also Dionysus; two ruling families cursed by their own decisions and viewpoints. Dionysus is the connecting link, as we experience his tragedy first hand, and then see howhis arrival in a late Thebes, and grudge against his family tree, influences the tragedy of Oedipus.
Not all the characters, esp. the children, have actual actors as inspiration, but of the main characters that do, here are some of my favorites.
